looking for a 3d scanner for round, metallic surfaces - white_chapel - 10-21-2013

Hi everybody,

actually I am looking for a scanner that can help me to gather information on the surface of pipes, especially of the thread in flange.

Many scanners need a matt surface, which would need a lot more work. Can we get around this?

Thanks a lot!

Looking at that thread i would recommend going for a Laser on a PCCM Scanning Arm. This or a decent structured light scanning system.

Try, http://www.europac3d.com.

What sort of information did you hope to get? I'm sure we can help, but we need to know what you would like to find out and at what expense.
