University Research in 3D Printing - Nkhan - 02-07-2013

Please Share if you know top class research at a University. For example, I know of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh as a top spot for 3D Printing in Additive Manufacturing.

I know MIT is doing some pretty cool research. Most of them include 3D printing food, which is still far from being doable.

I don't know of any universities doing so but I wish there would be more research in 3D printing. I believe it is the way of the future and one day every household will have one.

I remember reading an article than MIT is also doing research into 'smart 3D printing' - where the printed object assembles itself after being printed as a single tube for example.
I also know that Bath University in the UK does research and development with 3D printers.
